  1. What a pretty and a strange painting at the same time! Everything seems to be reversed here: the male pictured is being held tight and in dominant way, like a woman in the arms of her lover and languid in his muscular embrace. Even the gesture of his right hand (pushing the statue's forearm away) is womanlike.
